Idea #1 - Structured Data Background Course Hero is a website composed of student-contributed content. Every document uploaded to our site must be associated with a course at a school, and we have thousands of schools in our database. We do not, however, have structured course data at these schools. The only course information we currently have is provided by our users. When uploading content to our site, a student must tag a document to a school that already exists in our database, and they cannot create a new school. Every document uploaded must have the following information: school name, department acronym, course number and term year. You think it would be useful to have structured data for courses instead of the current free-form system. In other words, students would need to tag their documents to courses we know exist, and they wouldn’t be able to create new courses anymore.
