I explained that teaching must be student-centered and that lessons should come with high expectations but also with an understanding of a student's learning style, special needs, and current level of achievement. I also pointed out the effectiveness of lesson planning according to the CELTA criteria by which I am certified. It is especially possible and advantageous to identify potential learning problems before they arise when a certain lesson is planned in advance.
