I answered: I believe it has everything to do with the process of having a customer who wants a car to look a certain way and a team of specialist who know how to make that happen. The logistics team is one that brings the ideal customer's vision to life by bringing in all necessary inventory to support their image. Inventory control keeps the plant in motion and continues to make that dream a reality for all who are dreaming of their new car. It begins with knowing the right companies with the right parts. Finding a recurring system to collect that inventory to bring it in house to store until it is time to apply the inventory on the production line. Consider adding: inventory control's title is a clue in itself for a LEAN manufacturing system in that, no company ever wants to have too much inventory on hand.
