A phone interview was scheduled but the recruiter was unable to call me. He said he would reschedule but its been many days and no communication . The intial process of contact was gery pleasent.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)
Interview
One hour technical interview and then three rounds onsite. The recruiters were not responsive and never replied emails.
The onsite experience was horrible. The hiring manager was very unprofessional. No eye contacts during the entire 45-minute interview. The case interviews were based on their past projects. The project itself was pretty boring. The interviewer kept asking why it was a data science project. The questions they asked about machine learning were not clear and they didn't accept alternative methods. I would avoid wasting time with them.
Connected through a recruiter. Had a phone interview with internal recruiter, who was very nice and explained the organization in detail. Then a phone interview with a data science director. We just talked about my experience and what they do and somewhere along the way he seemed to have lost interest. Later I was told that my skill set was not a good fit. It was a pleasant experience still but I wish I knew what specific skillset they were looking for and why it was not obvious from my resume that I do not have that so that both sides can save some time.
