Interview
The application and interview process is what you’d expect. Every time though my hopes are brought up that I would get the job, but each time I’m let down with a ‘not this time’. I just want everyone to be aware this company is demoralizing in their very hiring process. I have applied to this company five times, only two of which I even got an interview. I have worked in customer service since 1995 and have excelled since. I am a specialist in my field and I am proud of the successes I’ve been part of. I can provide an entire background history and over a hundred reference that can back up my claim and Wayfair still doesn’t seem to want to hire me. I could accept not getting hired due to the claimed lack of experience, if they didn’t hire someone else I have known personally who has zero experience. Every occasion I ask, why I’ve not been chosen, the same excuse is experience, sorry, 20+ years isn’t enough? They make sure to mention to apply in six months, am I on probation or something? Why can’t you hold my application for six months and call me when you have an opening for me? I understand you want to pay people who would do well for your company, but I’m not only applying for the pay, but because I wanted to work for you. This seems to be an ongoing trend, you have wasted four hours of my life, that’s $64 of free time I’ve given you. I can’t think of any reason why Wayfair wouldn’t hire me, except the possibility of foul play or discrimination. I guess I’ll never find out.
The hiring process was actually great. Everything was virtual. The initial phone interview went well. I was then asked to do a 2nd interview with 2 managers virtual. At first I was nervous it was like FaceTiming. However, they were so nice and made me feel so comfortable. It was awesome. I heard back from the recruiter 2 days later with an offer. I’ve been working here for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it!!!! Everyone has been extremely nice, great culture, great benefits and pay and lots of growth within the company. I absolutely love it!!!!

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Dublín, Dublín) in Sep 2018
Interview
Online video interview with 5 questions, followed by a google hangout meeting with the manager. The questions were quite basic and general, just to talk about yourself, and then about previous customer experience, how you handle stressful situations, and something you were proud of. They asked a bit about my availability and if I had any holidays booked, and explained the role to me.
