The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (King City, CA) in Sep 2009
Interview
They phoned me to ask about the position I applied for on campus and asked some general questions to start. Always they did the tell me about yourself. Then from there they asked me why I wanted to work for target and what I knew about them as a company. The only two questions I got that stuck out were how do you motivate low performer and how do you keep high performer motivated.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jan 2010
Interview
Was referred to Target by a friend that works for Target. Was scheduled for a phone interview which took about 30 minutes. Rather straightforward questions relating to you and your experience. Some questions were tough as they wanted to hear about what you could do better at or what character flaws you my have.;
After making it through that I was passed along to meet with a store manager. Very casual interview consisting of Behavioral questions. Be sure to ask alot of questions during the interview to show you are interesed.
Made it through that round to meet with the DTL. Same type of interview as before. It seems Target has a very structured interview process which they can't deviate from. Again, be sure to show your enthusiasm about the position and ask questions.

After that, if I make it through, I will meet with the District Team Leader
