Interview
They focused on getting to know the candidate instead of focusing too much on the qualifications which is good. There was an initial phone interview then an in-person interview. Process took a bit long but not too bad

Interview
This was one of the most disappointing interviews. I've always wanted to work for Restoration Hardware, but after this interview process, I will never apply again. It was a very unprofessional process. Initially, I was emailed about setting up a time to speak on the phone. I emailed back and said when I was available according to the dates that were presented to me. I waited for a response, but more than a week went by so I wrote a follow up email. Several days later, I still had not received a confirmation email and it was the day of the supposed interview. A few hours later I received an email saying she has been busy and she will follow up with me tomorrow. No worries. Then, the next day, waiting for her response, I receive an email and then a text stating that she has me on her calendar and is running late for our phone call one minute before our supposed interview. She never told me we actually had an interview planned or confirmed a time or date. I told her I could be available but was unaware of the interview on this date or this time. She then said she wouldn't make the call and would call tomorrow. She did call the next day but was late. The interview was fine, pretty basic questions, she talked a lot and cut my answers off a few times. She even put me on hold after asking me a question for some customers. She took the phone call outside, so it was also a little distracting. Overall, the actual interview wasn't horrible, but the whole thing seemed so unprofessional. She told me the next steps and said she was email me the details in the next few days for the second interview. I never heard from her. I also never followed up because I didn't feel like I wanted to work for someone who didn't respect me or my time.

Interview
The interviewer was very friendly and it felt more like a conversation than a formal interview which was nice. Not sure if this is typical of RH but I believe it's a much more effective approach and how more interviews should be conducted.
