I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Novartis (Boston, MA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Within ~48 hours of applying, I received an email from the PI about doing an initial Skype interview. A couple weeks following that was an in-person 9-5 interview at Novartis. I gave a seminar from 9-10, then interviewed with 1-4 people every half-hour to an hour. I interviewed with the department head, investigators at various levels, research scientists, and current post-docs.

Question 1
Why choose industry over academia? What do you do in the case of conflict? Describe an issue in which you had to use logic to fix it. There were a number of other questions pertaining specifically to my graduate research and the seminar I gave.
One phone interview (1 hr) followed by an on-site interview (1 day). The on-site interview was a whole day with back to back interviews lasting about 30 min to 1 hr where you get to meet several of the investigators working there.
