I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Modell's Sporting Goods (Brooklyn, NY) in Jul 2012
Interview
Hired through a hiring fair, posted on craigslist. Printed out an application to bring in along with I.D. and Social Security card. There are multiple managers, which if they aren't there the same day, you may need to come in for more than one interview. You will be asked why you chose Modell's and why you want to work there. I said that I played a sport in highschool, so I knew a little about it, and I shopped there and knew the general layout of the store. Or maybe if you live close you can tell them you can work if they need you to fill in for overtime. Also it's a very customer oriented store, so make sure to mention you're a people person!

Interview
Straightforward, just an interview with the general manager to discuss experience and scheduling / availability. They were able to answer my questions and gave me a response just a few days later.
Light and straight forward process. Not bad for an entry level job. Be aware you will be on your feet at all times. Know how to calculate basic money math and deals

Interview
Interviewer discussed the company's history with me and then asked me questions about sports and the job itself. They also asked me if I had ever shopped at Modell's before.
