I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta in Mar 2015
Interview
I was referred by a friend of mine who worked at Facebook at that time. A recruiter called me about my background and the role that I am applying for. He also sent me an email introducing what I should expect for the phone interview.
In the phone interview I was asked to go over my portfolio and then a app critique session over the phone with another designer.
Phone screening, 2x45mins interview at their office.
I talked to 3 people in total. The recruiter and 2 designers, 1 in each of the 45mins interview.
The recruiter was very detailed in what to focus on in my presentation which was of great help.
The first 45mins was an app review, the next 45min was me presenting my work. I felt the 2nd interviewer zoned out a bit, i took it as i wasn't delivering what she expected. I was right. The feedback was still positive, but they told me which area I want strong enough in yet. Positive feedback and the recruiter encouraged me to apply again at a later point. I won't tho. I mainly went for the experience- not sure it's the right place for me, didn't pick up the greatest energy from their offices.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta
Interview
Brief 30 min call with recruiter and later 2 video interviews. First one was an app critique and the next one was a portfolio review. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Sadly I was not able to continue.
