I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2013
Interview
The store hiring manager has your application in his hands and is asking you questions directly from it. It is does make you a little nervous because I was thinking 'what if I don't say the exact same thing that I wrote down even though all of it is true?' He will also show you how to make corrections to things that you did incorrexly or worded strangly because they want you to learn from the experience. Then they will ask about your abilities and your availability. Then they will tell you whether you got the job or not.

Question 1
Do you have any strong-suits that make you stick out for this job?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kroger (Kennesaw, GA)
Interview
Very easy. Basically just to make sure you are not a complete lunatic. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time you will get this job. You may not even have to do that. Just act personable, and they will bring you on the team. Management is decent at the store I worked at.
