I got recruited from Linkedin. Spoke on the phone briefly then got asked to meet in person for a first interview. The first impression was...different. They have you walk into their office with no one there but a podium and a sign that says "pick up phone next to podium and someone will assist you". I was confused but eventually followed and someone came out a couple of minutes after.
I first met with the hiring manager who walked in and literally threw his business card onto the desk in front of me. He explained the company, his job, and how he got here. It was a good transition from meeting to getting to know him and his story. He spoke super fast and it was a little intimidating at first. He asked me a ton of questions and again, spoke fast.
The experience was ok, intimidating because how fast pace he was. I wasn't asked back for a second interview but I'm glad I went because I realized I didn't want that industry or position.
