First apologize for any inconvenience, guests sometimes just want someone that will listen to them and to empathize with them. Next ask discovery questions, is this the first time addressing the issue, maybe they spoke to someone before you, find out what's been done so far. Depending on what the issue is ask your leader what you can offer them for the inconvenience.
