How have you influence a co-worker?
Anonymous
Once I was working at a warehouse on a specific project where we had to pull a list of heavy items off the shelves. My teammate told me that we should take extra time so that we wouldn't have to do anything else, but I told him I didn't feel like that was honest and I was uncomfortable with slacking on the job, and I told him I cared about my work performance. I handled myself very honestly and professionally and he was very cooperative from that point forward. I made sure to find ways to get him engaged in the work so we both felt a sense of purpose, and when we went to break I told him he was doing a good job. After break, he had a change of spirit and was more eager to get the work done. We finished the project early and our supervisor appreciated the work we did.
