Interview
New method of hiring, first on-line screening. Then got a call for an interview which was six standard customer relations questions. However the final step is a subcontracted out source to screen references. As a result, I did not get the job as I was building my house before I applied, thus I did not have the 3 required checks. Go figure... With this new system they are sure to loose out on great people that know tools and construction...? Oh well that's corporation dis-connect for you. Make sure you got the 3 references, that's really all that seems to count. and don't be overqualified, it scares the kids there.

Preference is given to those that know how to play the game and be at the store managers beck and call. Usually a phone interview then a one on one interview with the dept supervisor or assistant store manager. If you get called in to see the store manager you are 99% sure oeuvre got the job.
