I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at General Atomics
Interview
The overall interview process was very efficient and very well organized. Communication was great and I felt very comfortable with the entire process. I applied online and received an email the following week to setup a phone screening interview. After the phone screening, the next step is a phone interview with the hiring manager and finally followed by an in-person panel interview at GA. Received an offer the following week.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at General Atomics (Poway, CA)
Interview
Everybody involved was very warm and happy to be there, which made me feel comfortable. I met with the recruiter, a couple to folks that ended up being my teammates, and the group manager.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at General Atomics (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2012
Interview
I meet with 7 engineers and scientists over the course of the day (5-6 hours). I had a group of 2 scientists interview panel style, I meet with my potential direct boss 1:1, I meet with a senior VP 1:1, and finally meet with HR 1:1. I was taken out to lunch with about 6 engineers and scientists and we got to get to know one another over the course of the meal. The company was very young at the time and the process is not like that now. No on takes you to lunch and you just interview in the same room and engineers come in at their allotted times.
