I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Forever 21
Interview
They had an open house every Tuesday from 10am to 2pm so I decided to go. I got there at 10am exactly and there were already 20 people ahead of me. I signed the sign in sheet and waited in the shoe area with the others. The interviews didnt start until around 11 and by then it was already packed with more people coming in. They said it was an open house so I didnt think there would be actual full interviews. I didnt expect to be there long but I winded up leaving at 1pm. We were put in groups of 6 depending on order of arrival. We sat in the fitting room area and they asked us questions for each of us to answer. The forever 21 I applied for is apparently the second best selling store in the entire chain so the Hiring Manager was sure to tell us how "privileged" we were if we got the job. She was really intimidating and it caused me to be nervous! I actually thought I did a bad job BUT on Thursday she called me and told me that they wanted to hire me! She told everyone to listen for a call on Friday but she called me early so thats good!
I think what helped with them deciding to hire me was the fact that I laughed and talked with the other people applying. You may not notice but they pay attention to your attitude and personality as soon as you walk in. So dont act snobby or mean because they will see that! Be friendly, introduce yourself, and start conversations! This is what I did and I got hired so must've worked lol. Good luck!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
A friend had recommended me, so the interviews were fairly easy. I went to the store and looked for the manager. He took me inside an office. He was very nice and didn't ask too many questions.
