You can't even apply for a position, much less secure an interview, without jumping through a lot of unnecessary and time-consuming hoops.
I submitted my resume and some basic information in an attempt to apply for a position listed on LinkedIn. I was then redirected to a screen where they asked that I record myself speaking (preferably on camera) to prove I could speak English. Haha. I opted out of that one.
I then received a email, saying I needed to "activate" my application. The email assured me it only takes five minutes, but the link lead me to a problem-solving exercise with an estimated time of 25 minutes. I opted out of that as well. God knows what else 'activating' my application would require.
All this for a position with no salary range included.
For God's sake, just make the application process simple and considerate of applicants' time.
