I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amdocs (Bengaluru) in May 2016
Interview
The first round was a written (online) Amcat Test (Pool campus)- this took about 1.5 hours and was not very tough. It required you to attempt the programming section in C/C++ or Java. I had chosen C/C++ which turned out to be easy and which required us to solve 2 programs in 45 mins. It was interesting.
The results of this round was announced soon and we were required to appear for the face to face interview. This round included questions like tell me about yourself, interests, are you ready to relocate..
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The Reason for the changing performance throughout academics
It was HR and Technical, in my case it was a pool campus. Many were eliminated from Technical, many had 2 Technical Rounds and Many were eliminated from HR round. The process was very smooth and organized.
Technical interview- I had only one interview for technical round.
The interviewer was recruiting for Testing profile. All questions in my case were project related and my certification related. He was exploring my interest and my knowledge in what I like and have certification in.
He asked me Testing related questions and I attempted.
He gave me one puzzle, 3 light bulbs one. I answered correct. Then he asked me whether my approach was negative testing or positive. I answered but it was wrong.
Your knowledge in whatever you know the best matters along with confidence.
Other friends that were interviewed were asked many Java questions, SQL queries and UNIX commands. You don't have to know everything. You just have to be prepared well.
Suggestions from my experience-
1. Know ur CV that includes projects and certification
2. SQL queries
3. Unix Commands the basic ones if you know will be best
4. The language in which you had programmed in Aptitude test.
HR question-
Basics about me, my achievement in last 4years, etc.
