I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Interviewed for an SDE-2 role at Amazon last month. Didn’t make it, but the prep was incredibly rewarding.
Process:
OA: coding, system design simulation, workstyle & LP-based assessments
4 rounds:
DSA + LPs
Logic & Maintainable Code + LPs
Problem Solving + LPs
System Design + LPs
Came out sharper, with a deeper respect for Amazon’s high bar.
Take-home assessment followed by virtual loop. Take-home was easy-level leetcode problems. Loop was 3 medium-level leetcodes with a relatively simple system design, though lots of changing requirements. Each interviewer also asks behavioral questions on Amazon leadership principles.

Design a product recommendation system for e-commerce
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad)
Interview
The whole process was excellent from start to finish. It began with an online assessment that included coding problems and debugging exercises. After passing the assessment, I was invited to a virtual onsite interview consisting of four rounds: two technical data structures and algorithms rounds, one system design round, and one behavioral interview focused on Amazon Leadership Principles. The interviewers were professional, well-prepared, and gave me enough time to think through my answers. I received timely updates and clear instructions throughout the process.
