About This Role
As a Graphic Designer, the contractor plays a central role in crafting compelling visual content for Design Pickle's customers. This role is built for a skilled, production-focused designer who brings strong design principles and communication-focused thinking to every request, translating client briefs into polished, brand-aligned assets across print, digital, and presentation formats. Visual storytelling, information hierarchy, and branded composition are core expectations regardless of deliverable type, supported by adaptable workflows across Canva, Affinity, and Adobe.
Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST/PST
Location: Remote, open to candidates in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, or India.
Specific Scope of Services:
- Apply strong graphic design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy, to craft professional, high-quality digital and print assets aligned to client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Develop design assets primarily using Canva and the Affinity Suite, while remaining adaptable across creative software ecosystems, including Adobe.
- Prepare and deliver print-ready files across common formats (flyers, brochures, labels, merchandise, and similar collateral), with an understanding of print production standards such as bleed, trim, and color mode requirements.
- Design business presentations and slide decks that go beyond aesthetics, applying information hierarchy, branded slide composition, and visual storytelling to communicate ideas clearly and effectively for business audiences.
- Handle multiple design projects per day across various clients and industries.
- Engage regularly with Customers, and other team members to ensure design quality adheres to brand guidelines.
- Engage with Design Pickle's customers, understanding their queue and overall process, and address graphic design-related concerns effectively.
- Organize digital assets, including images, project files, and graphics, efficiently.
- Stay updated with the latest design tools, trends, and techniques to ensure the highest quality output.
Requirements:
- Strong foundation in core graphic design principles including typography, color theory, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Demonstrated ability to apply communication-focused design thinking across deliverable types, translating client goals into visually compelling, audience-appropriate assets.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools, including Canva as a primary delivery platform, with experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or the Affinity Suite (Pixel, Vector, Layout).
- Ability to transition between Adobe and Affinity-based workflows as needed.
- Solid understanding of print production standards including bleed, trim, safe zones, and color modes (CMYK/RGB).
- Proficiency in presentation tools such as Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote, with demonstrated ability to design business presentations using visual storytelling, information hierarchy, and branded slide composition.
- Experience crafting visually appealing designs aligned with brand guidelines across digital, print, and presentation formats.
- Ability and adaptability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills for efficient project execution.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to ensure client satisfaction.
- Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency (Upper Intermediate B2 English level), both orally and in writing, for effective client communication and seamless team interactions.
